New Photos from THE ROAD
August 21st, 2008

Despite some minor hesitant quibbling a while back, these images courtesy of USA Today have me convinced Cormac McCarthy’s phenomenal THE ROAD is in good hands (for a second time, thanks to the Coens). It’s actually kind of eerie how dead-on the production team seems to have captured the desolate, bleak, nuclear winter environment of the novel, as well as the dirty, tired, weary appearance of its protagonist. Hell, just looking at these images makes me depressed and want to take a bath. Consider me officially stoked to see this, but also a little disappointed that (so far) it isn’t going to make an appearance at the Toronto International Film Festival.
