It seems the cast is the biggest issue right now with the film. I’m kind of on board with no more Kirsten Dunst. I would also really like Gwen Stacy to get another shot at being an actually substantial character plot-wise as she was in the comics. I really liked Bryce Dallas Howard in the role. As for the rest, well, I’d be happy to have Tobey back. Especially since the closest candidates (i.e. Jake Gyllenhaal and Topher Grace) are no longer options.

As for the director, Sam Raimi is apparently looking forward to reading the script, and will make his decision based on that I’ve heard. Though, to be honest, I think the series could maybe benefit from a directorial change, and I’d also actually like to see Raimi do some other stuff now instead of making SPIDER-MAN movies for the rest of his life.

Spider-man movies should come out annually.

Was the third movie perfect? No. Did it have a few silly elements? Yes. But you’re forgetting all the things they did get right Spider-man 3 like Harry Osborn. Seriously, I could watch the scene where Harry tells Peter he’s dating MJ about a thousand times.

You remember the part, where the waitress comes up to him after and asks, “Hows the pie?”

“So good.”

Um, yeah. Amazing!

This year, there was an April Fools rumor that Nicholas Brendon (Xander on Buffy) was going to be the new Spiderman. Horrible or amazing? Who cares? That’s a Spiderman movie I’d pay to see!

Unfortunately, Nicholas Brendon is currently tied up making a horror movie with Michael Madson and Rowdy Roddy Pipper… Now that, I know will be amazing!

After Spiderman 3 left a horrible after taste in my mouth, I wouldn’t mind not seeing another Spiderman movie ever again.

I say, bring on Iron Man 2.

Also, are all the original actors on board to do another one? I thought i heard TM saying during press for SM3 that he’s done. And, will Sam Raimi direct a 4th?
