WATCHMEN Teaser Trailer

Having seen the trailer for WATCHMEN a few times now, the way I feel about has fluctuated each time I’ve seen it. Sometimes I get swept up by geeky excitement over how dead-on the on screen representations of Dr. Manhattan, The Comedian, and Rorschach are. Sometimes I just can’t get past the fact of the younger casting of The Owl and Silk Spectre II, their costumes, and the film’s excessive visual style (I was someone who was not impressed by 300). So needless to say, I’m conflicted, uncertain, and still unconvinced this should have been adapted into a movie to begin with (more on that in another article).
But you do see Dr. Manhattan’s penis in the trailer, so that’s a major plus in favor of the film, and I have to say that’s probably the most effective choice and use of a song I’ve seen in a trailer in a long time.
